FAQs

Regularly Asked Questions

1
What is made to measure?

Made to measure means your suit or shirt is created from your own body measurements instead of standard store sizing. Suit Up Tailors uses those measurements with your fabric, style, and fit preferences to create a custom garment made for you.

2
Can I choose different design options than the ones shown online?

Yes. If you want a detail that is not shown on the website, contact Suit Up Tailors with the request before ordering. The team can confirm whether the option is available and whether it changes the price.

3
How do I book a video consult and is it free?

You can book a consult through the online calendar. A Suit Up Tailors representative can guide you by video call after your purchase. Consults are free and are designed to help with measurements, style choices, and order confidence.

4
What do I need for my video consult?

You need a fabric measuring tape and one other person to help take accurate measurements. Good lighting and a fitted shirt also help the consultant guide the process clearly.

5
Can I order custom wedding suits for a groom or wedding party?

Yes. Suit Up Tailors can support grooms, groomsmen, and wedding guests with custom suits, shirts, fabrics, colours, and fit details. Book early so there is enough time for measurements, production, delivery, and any final fit support.

6
Can I choose a fabric that is not listed on the website?

In many cases yes. If you have a specific fabric in mind, send a description and a photo if possible. The team can check whether it can be sourced or explain the process if you want to provide your own fabric.

Ordering, Shipping And Fit Support

Use these frequently asked questions to understand production timing, delivery, taxes, duties, gift cards, refunds, remakes, and what happens if your custom garment needs fit support after delivery.
1
How long does it take to receive my custom order?

Most custom suit and shirt orders take about 4 to 5 weeks to arrive after the order is confirmed. Timing can vary depending on fabric, production details, shipping, and whether the team needs to review any measurements before production.

2
When is my order sent to production?

Your order is sent to production after payment is approved and the required measurement and style details are complete. If anything looks unclear, Suit Up Tailors may contact you before production begins.

3
How is my order shipped and what does shipping cost?

Canadian orders are typically shipped with DHL or Canada Post, and United States orders are typically shipped with DHL. You receive a tracking number. Shipping is charged as a flat rate of $25 Canadian unless the checkout states otherwise.

4
What payment methods can I use?

Suit Up Tailors accepts major credit cards, PayPal, and Suit Up Tailors gift certificates. All prices on the website are listed in Canadian dollars.

5
What is the refund policy for custom garments?

Because each custom suit or shirt is made using your measurements, refunds are not offered for custom orders. If a production imperfection is found, Suit Up Tailors may provide one free remake at its discretion.

6
Will I be charged taxes or duties?

Canadian customers are charged the applicable sales taxes. United States customers are not charged Canadian sales tax. If duties are charged unexpectedly, submit the receipt to Suit Up Tailors for review and reimbursement support.
